Sarah is a graduate of the The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s MA Voice Studies program. She arrived at RCSSD with almost 20 years of teaching experience, working primarily in child and youth performance education, and as an actor, having performed in theatres across Canada. Voice practices have always been the grounding anchor of Sarah’s professional performance practice, and her passion lies in teaching actors how to investigate, explore, and express their voice through foundational work and vocal embodiment.
Her work as an actor as earned her multiple Robert Merritt Award nominations and critical acclaim, and her credits include contemporary and classical works, as well as multiple audiobook narrator for Random House Canada.
Sarah’s strength as a teacher and coach comes from not just an understanding of the actor’s process, but through her own lived experiences as an actor, a KNOWING of that process. She knows how voice and accent work fits into the greater tapestry of a role, a project, or an individual performer.
Sarah is currently teaching Accents and Dialects at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the Acting for Screen MA program, and as an accent coach for individuals, workshops, and productions.
